Cell Phones Expose Human’s Habits

This is an interesting piece of news that was spread across Digg through several submissions, but none of them hit. It was actually broken by MakiMaki twice, once from Yahoo and once from Arstechnica, but this BBC article was just a bit more intriguing.

The latest tweaks to the algorithm have made some “no brainer” stories miss lately. It could be the split in votes or a higher weighting towards buries as submitters bury similar stories in hopes of getting theirs promoted. Either way, a story about mobile devices, privacy issues, and government tracking — should have been golden on Digg.
