PlurkWith all of the buzz and activity that is surrounding Twitter challenger Plurk, it’s a shame that no stories surrounding it have made the front page of Digg.

This story takes an in-depth look at the microblogging/lifestreaming platform and details many of its shared and unique features. It also references several reputable tech sources including Mashable, ZDNet, CNet, and ProBlogger.

Regardless of whether you are a fan or foe, whether you think it has a chance to last or is a passing fad, Plurk is a platform that has emerged into the “curiosity stage” of its development. Where it goes from here and if it will succeed will depend upon its functionality, member interaction, and most importantly its uptime. If it starts going down often the way Twitter does, many who are trying it out BECAUSE of Twitter’s downtime issues may jump ship quickly.
